Shyla Rana

I'm a high school student with an interest in personal finance and investing. I first became interested in finance after growing up watching Shark Tank. Later, through DECA, I became even more interested while competing in Personal Financial Literacy, where I learned about budgeting, investing, and how businesses grow.

I like that everyone can benefit from understanding finance, no matter what career they choose. Even though I hope to work in the medical field someday, I think understanding money and making smart financial decisions is an important life skill. Outside of finance, I'm an officer in both DECA and Model UN, and I enjoy playing and teaching chess.

Through Finance Simplified, I hope to create content that makes personal finance feel less overwhelming and more approachable for students around the world. I'm excited to learn alongside the team and help make financial literacy more accessible to students everywhere.
